The International Relations Department under Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences trains graduates who are equipped with a strong infrastructure in the field of international relations, who have the ability to think analytically and produce solutions and have the potential to become successful at home and abroad. In this context, it aims to have students comprehend the world, the political, socio-economic and cultural developments in the world, the international system and the international actors influencing this system and their behavior -  with their causes and consequences.

 

There are four major disciplines under the International Relations Department.

Our faculty members working in the fields of above mentioned disciplines teach the history of the international system, structure, transformation, actors in the international system, inter-state relations, Turkey's foreign relations, national and international law in the four-year undergraduate program. 

The education is provided in English in 30 percent of the courses in the department.
Students are admitted to the formal and evening education undergraduate program according to the "equal weight" score taken in the Higher Education Institutions Exam organized by the Higher Education Council. The department accepts approximately 40+40 students every year. Graduates of the department can find employment opportunities in non-governmental organizations, media, private sector, economic organizations and international organizations, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other public institutions.

 

All students are encouraged to participate in social and cultural activities. The International Relations Club and DIPLOMUN, in which the undergraduate students of the department actively participate, increase their active participation in conferences, seminars and other social events. In this sense, students are provided oppurtunities to meet foreign academics or diplomats and to contact foreign ministries of different countries.

 

The department has agreements with various countries within the scope of Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana programs.
